More of Daddy's handy work

We got a travel system today! At first I really wanted the one that matches our swing so if we had a boy next time we wouldn't have to buy a whole new system in boy colors, but then my super smart husband had the brilliant idea to just get a new cover for it. When I found out that was possible, I couldn't resist the super cute, brown and pink one!

Out of the box and putting it together.

All set up!
Our "test baby" testing out the new goodies!
I had a doctor's appointment today also, and all is well. I was really surprised to have gained 11 lbs. in the last 5 weeks, but Dr. Lemberger isn't concerned because my overall weight gain is on track. I probably shouldn't have been surprised though. I've been eating a lot of chocolate lately, and I crave chocolate chip cookies and chocolate milk!
One last thought...
Kris had the responsibility of picking out Chloe's coming home outfit and he did an absolute wonderful job! Don't ya think? I just hope we don't have like, a 10 pound baby or something because we got a size Newborn. haha.

Another big milestone... to me

Today marks the beginning of the last week of my 2nd trimester! Yeah! This week Chloe weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long from head to toe. Her eyes are no longer fused shut, she's opening and closing them as she wakes and sleeps regularly. I find that so exciting!
She can also get the hiccups now, which I'm pretty sure she had last night. I had my hand on my belly and kept feeling this little tap every couple seconds. It was nearly as strong as she normally kicks me and it was in the same spot over and over again, so I figured that's what was. How cute? I love baby hiccups, they're so little.

OK, here she is... or at least a cartoon version of how developed she is. :-)

Our little Blooming Star of the Sea

Alright, so incase any of you haven't heard, our baby girl's name is going to be Chloe Marie Savage. Kris and I decided to tell because we were so tired of trying so hard to keep it a secret, and I also was tired of having to think so hard before talking about her. Kris has loved the name Chloe ever since he read the Left Behind books back in 8th grade and I've always loved the name as well, so we pretty much just had to find a middle name to go with it that we liked, and along came Marie. Not only do I love the name Chloe Marie, I love what it means. Chloe means blooming and Marie means star of the sea.
At 24, going into 25 weeks, I'm continuing to get bigger and bigger...

This picture doesn't show off how big I really am, but it'll do. My boobs have gotten so big that the seam that's supposed to go under them can't go under them or they would fall out...
Chloe weighs a pound and a half now, and is over a foot long! If we could see her inside me we'd be able to see what color her hair is, which I don't think would be much of a surprise. Both her daddy and I have very dark hair, as well as her grandparents on both sides. So I'm difinitely expecting a brunette. With her eye color on the other hand, I'm not sure what to expect. I have brown eyes, Kris has very blue eyes, my mom (Nani) has brown eyes, my dad (Papi) has hazel eyes, Kris' mom (grandma Karla) has blue eyes, and his dad (grandpa Dale) has gray eyes. So who knows what we'll get? If you've got a guess, post it and we'll see whom is right.
One final note...
Here's a couple pictures of my handy work.

It's a bouncy seat from Chloe's Nani (Nah-nee)
